we believe...
One God manifest in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The inspiration of all the Scriptures by the Holy Spirit, as originally given, as the final authority for Christian faith and practice.

The incarnation and virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ who, by His shed blood, substitutionary death, and bodily resurrection, paid the redemptive price for all our sins and the sins of the whole world.

The eternal salvation of all who trust the Lord Jesus Christ and the eternal punishment of all who reject Him.

The work of God's Spirit in the new birth, indwelling the believer, causing him to grow into the likeness of Christ, and filling him with power to live a godly life as a witness for Jesus Christ.

core values
Who We Are (Identity) & Why We Do What We Do (Behavior)

Living in Christ
We declare Christ to be supreme and the only Hope of the world (Colossians 1:13-29; Hebrews 1:3). And---together in Christ---we will live worshipfully in intimacy with Him, imitation of Him, and influence for Him (Matthew 5:13-16; 28:18-20; John 1:14; 20:21; 1 Corinthians 12:27; Galatians 5:6).

Reaching Out
We will take Christ's message of grace to the lost and disconnected people in our community and to those parts of the world where the local church is weak or nonexistent, and we will use every available Christ-honoring means to pursue, reach and mature them (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Luke 15; 19:10; 1 Corinthians 9:22).

Teaching God's Word
We will teach God's Word with integrity, creativity and authority so that those without God are drawn to Christ and believers progressively mature in Him (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 4:2; Romans 12:1-2).

Transforming Lives
We will intentionally embrace the Christ-centered, Spirit-driven, community-oriented process of transformation into the image of Christ (Galatians 4:19; Ephesians 4:11-16; 2 Corinthians 3:18; 2 Peter 3:18).

Practicing Community
We commit to experiencing Spirit-directed life change in the context of loving, service-rich, authentic relationships and small groups (Acts 2:42-47; Mark 12:31; Matthew 7:12; Philippians 2:4; Romans 12:4-5, 10).

we dream of being a biblical community
of Truthbrokers...
•We envision becoming a church that shares the life-changing truth of Christ's life, death and resurrection with thousands of people in our community and around the world.

• We dream of sharing biblical truth in relevant and creative ways and firmly applying God's Word to the real, immediate and long-term needs of those in our community.

• We hear a rising flood of stories of pursuing life-changing encounters with God that grip the heads, hearts and hands of every listener.

Aflame with Outreach...
•We feel our evangelistic temperature rising to the boiling point as we, as Christ-followers, catch the fever of outreach and bring Christ into our spheres of influence.

•We see a people fully trained and equipped to courageously witness for Christ
in unique ways and through God-given styles.

•We see hundreds of people coming to Christ as irrepressibly excited individuals invite friends, family, neighbors and colleagues to participate in vibrant worship and nourishing ministries.

•We envision raising, sending and supporting waves of missionaries to serve in dozens of countries around the world.

of God-Honoring Growth...
•We see throngs of families becoming part of the larger Chapel family.

•We dream of growing to such an extent spiritually and numerically that we begin planning to build in order to meet our new, steadily increasing growth.

•We see developing a church planting team that will sow the seed of new faith communities in strategic areas in our region.

•We see people giving generously and joyfully not simply to programs but to changed lives, realized dreams and a transforming community.

of Worshipers...
• We see people passionately connecting to God through inspiring worship services. •We see directing others into life-changing encounters with God through worship, where a variety of worship styles are used, God is honored and celebration is genuine, winsome and attractive.

•We see worshiping as a united family—reaching across racial, socioeconomic and generational divides as we gather together to worship and serve our great King and enjoy one another.

of Loving Relationships...
•We foresee those curious about spiritual matters safely asking the tough questions and receiving loving, truthful, solid answers and understanding in their hearts that the Chapel is a refuge for the world rather than a refuge from the world.

•We see tears of joy and hear laughter as redemptive, authentic, Christ-centered relationships are cultivated and marked with spiritual fruit.

•We hear things like, "What must I do to be saved?," "I've never experienced love like this before!," "I care for you," "How can I pray for you?," "Where can I use my gift?," "I want to be a part of this family!," "Will you mentor me?"

of Unleashed Spiritual Gifts...
•We feel the energizing power of God at work in and through us as never before as we experience an epidemic of spiritual gifts discovery, deployment and development in building up the body of Christ.

•Among other fully and voluntarily exercised, interdependent spiritual gifts, we see leaders leading, teachers teaching, encouragers encouraging, givers giving and evangelizers evangelizing.

•We see God-sized tasks being accomplished with God-sized tools.

•We depend upon and experience the active presence and obvious power of God at work in our lives and efforts

of Small Groups...
•We see a vibrant, reproductive network of small groups flourishing—where leaders are purposefully and systematically trained, coached and apprenticed, groups are flexibly organized, curriculum is practical and biblical, and members are outward-focused and multiplication-minded.

•We envision becoming a church where small groups are the primary mode of ministry and where people taste real, vital, Acts 2 biblical community.

•We dream of being a church where nobody stands alone—where we each come to know and be known, love and be loved, admonish and be admonished, serve and be served, celebrate and be celebrated.
