Pastor of Small Groups: Rick Leineweber

Rick Leineweber is the Pastor of Small Groups at Virginia Beach Community Chapel. He recently joined the staff of VBCC from a church of 4,000 attendees in Timonium Maryland where he was the Director of Neighborhood Small Groups. Rick has been a Senior Pastor, church planter, consultant, seminar speaker and for the last 13 years has specialized in small group discipleship. He is a graduate of Washington Bible College and has received advanced training in his areas of expertise. Rick is the author of "The Commands of Christ" and numerous articles, small group lessons and skill training packets. Rick resides in Virginia Beach with his dear wife Betsy, younger son, Philip, who attends Liberty University, and their daughter Kimberly, who is a student at Lancaster Bible College. Their older son, Joel, is married and is the lead web designer for Answers in Genesis in northern Kentucky.

Rick's primary responsibility in his role as the Pastor of Small Groups at VBCC is to bring passion (emotional & theological) and strategy to the small group system church-wide. He invests his time in helping the small groups at the church succeed by pouring his life into the elders, the staff & coaches.
