DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

- What was the best musical group/choir in which you participated?  Why?

- Are you more like a lion or a lamb?

- What makes the scroll and/or seals (5:1) so significant?  What's in the book?

- Why is there only ONE person worthy to break the seals and open the book?

- What titles describe God's Messiah?  Where did John get them?

- How can Christ be both a Lamb and a Lion?  What is the significance of this?

- Analyze the three worship songs.  What do they reveal about God?  Jesus? Man? The future?

- How can you/your group replicate the praise songs in your concerts of prayer?

- How would the "out of control" world/church in 1st century benefit from Rev 5?  21st century?

- What actions does this study inspire you to take this week?

MEMORY VERSE

Memory Verses begin next week.  Your Revelation bookmark will show the theme and verse for the following week.

READ  Revelation 1:1-20

Revelation is Misunderstood

Revelation is Messianic

Revelation is Mysterious

Revelation is Meaningful

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

Who is the author of Rev?  What do you know about him?

Since John was with Jesus three years, why would he fall at his feet now (v17)?

What is revealed about Jesus?  Why does God want Jesus know as "Word," "Alpha & Omega," and other titles?

Close your eyes while a member reads 1:12-18.  What is an encounter with the resurrected Jesus like?

What is this book all about?

After hearing Pastor Rich's sermon, in what ways is the book of Revelation: misunderstood, messianic, mysterious and meaningful?

In what ways do you anticipate an encounter with the resurrected Jesus?

MISSIONAL TREASURE HUNT

Jesus has placed us here, and he stands in our midst.

We are the lampstand in our city.

- Identify your ‘city’ – an area of focus for your group over the next 8 weeks.  This is likely the neighborhood of the home you most often meet in.  Draw a map of your city’s streets, natural boundaries, etc.

- This is your ‘missional map’.  We will fill it in a little each week.

- Map your regular places (homes, schools, frequented stores, etc)

- Who is in your neighborhood? Name and map as many people as you can by name.

NEXT WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE

“To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat

from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.” Rev 2:7b

It's a really interesting discussion and I have enjoyed everything written here, its very new topic for me. I haven't read anything like this before and the essaytigers.com review service is also a wonderful place where I can write anything of my choice. There are many more websites where people can know a lot more about this wonderful topic.
